The dawn of Dusk! Abbie Cornish has actively been a rapper for years, but a 2007 video of the RoboCop actress spewing verses in Australia has been making the rounds since it was recently uploaded to YouTube.
Cornish, 32, goes by the moniker of “MC Dusk” and has even procured a Facebook page under that stage name. The star’s Instagram account also actively promotes her rap career as she soon goes on tour with revered rapper Nas in Australia starting Jan. 20.
In the clip, Ryan Phillippe’s ex-girlfriend hits the stage and expertly raps for the screaming crowd below.
The Limitless actress previously spoke to Us Weekly about her love for music — namely rap — at an October 2013 event. “I have like massive, long playlists,” Cornish told Us of working out to various styles of music. “But I love hip-hop and I love rap. And so the thing that I love to workout to the most, if it’s high-energy, is hip-hop and rap.”
In addition to her upcoming tour, Cornish will also soon release her debut solo EP. “I recently finished my debut solo EP titled ‘Key of the Sun,'” Cornish wrote to fans on Instagram last month. “A six track hip hop/rap album, featuring the Australian hip hop group @hilltophoods and female vocalist @janetyrrell. ‘Evolve’ and ‘Way Back Home’, two tracks from the EP, will be released at the beginning of 2015. ‘Way Back Home’ will also feature a music video shot by @selinamiles….Can’t wait to share my music with you, to play live and support @nasnyc on his Australian ‘Illmatic’ tour!!”
Cornish teased what fans should expect from her upcoming album via Twitter this past week.

She will open for Nas in Brisbane, Australia, and tour with him through Jan. 29.
