What's the meaning of this ink? Angelina Jolie has been soaking up the sights in Sydney, Australia with her six kids since the end of last week — but, as usual, the Oscar-winning actress, 38, didn't exactly blend into the scenery as a Down Under tourist. Strolling solo by the waterfront in Sydney on Monday, Sept. 9, Brad Pitt's fiancee quietly debuted yet another tattoo, this one running down the lower part of  her right arm: A long strip of what appears to be Arabic writing.

The Maleficent actress showcased the previously-unseen new artwork in a short-sleeved black t-shirt, which she paired with simple skinny black pants and black flip-flop sandals; Jolie completed the casual outfit with aviator shades, a simple wristwatch and gold bracelet, and carried a sunhat and black bag.

No word yet on the meaning of the latest tattoo, but it sits directly beneath a smaller, horizontal tattoo also in Arabic script which translates to "determination." The ink — Jolie has approximately 17 tattoos overall — may have been applied following the star's preventative double mastectomy earlier this year. Other tattoos include a Tennessee Williams quote in memory of her late mother, Marcheline Bertand, and the geographical coordinates of her children's birthplaces.

With Pitt, 49, promoting his Oscar-buzzed flick, 12 Years a Slave, in Toronto, and then shooting his film Fury in London, Jolie traveled to Australia last Wednesday with kids Maddox, 12, Pax, 9, Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 7, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 5, and will be shooting her next directorial effort, Unbroken, over the next couples months.
