Bailey Zimmerman has been charged with a felony for allegedly trashing his hotel room while drunk.

According to records viewed by Us Weekly on Monday, June 22, Zimmerman, 26, was charged with a felony criminal damage to property of over $1,000 and a misdemeanor of falsely obtaining services on May 27 in New Mexico.

The country singer has been accused of trashing his hotel room before canceling his concert at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, per a police affidavit obtained by Us. According to the docs, Zimmerman arrived at the hotel after finishing a round of golf with surveillance footage showing that he was playfully “burning” members of his band with a cigarette but they “did not appear to mind and were laughing.” While being escorted to his room by hotel security, Zimmerman was allegedly horsing around with members of his band. Zimmerman and his group ultimately entered the room.

More than an hour later, Zimmerman left the room with his personal security guard, tour manager and members of his band. Zimmerman got into a vehicle and slammed the door to head to the amphitheater for soundcheck while members of his team walked.

Hotel security claimed that Zimmerman appeared to be under the influence of alcohol while completing soundcheck. The “Holy Smokes” musician allegedly “stumbled and swayed” while on stage. He also allegedly tried to sit down on the stage but fell backwards in his attempt and left the stage multiple times.

Zimmerman was accused of taking his drummer’s cymbal to throw it on stage and messing with his guitarist’s microphone by taking it and attempting to kick its stand, which he “missed twice.” Zimmerman’s band members attempted to intervene with his behavior but he allegedly “yelled” at them before walking off the stage for a third time.

While backstage, he allegedly had a heated exchange with his tour manager before he “angrily walked back on stage,” per the report. Zimmerman “kicked the drum cymbals” which led them to fall over and “shoved” one of his guitarists which caused him to “jolt.” Additional members of Zimmerman’s band attempted to talk to the singer. Zimmerman allegedly exited the stage angrily. He hit one of his light boxes on his way out and kicked a black box.

Zimmerman ultimately went back to the hotel via the car. He “jumped out” of the vehicle but allegedly “stumbled toward a closed door” and lost his shoe for a brief moment. While going up to his room, Zimmerman allegedly stumbled some more before he started “skipping” and running down the hall.

Zimmerman, who was scheduled to perform at the venue on May 27, ended up canceling the concert. The hotel determined that Zimmerman and his staff needed to leave the property due to his alleged behavior. He is accused of refusing to leave the hotel and becoming “disorderly” which led to the resort to call the police. Zimmerman allegedly “became cooperative” and left the hotel.

One day later, police were called to the room Zimmerman previously occupied. Hotel security and housekeeping found the room damaged. According to the report, a TV, phone, coffee table and two chairs were broken. There were also two chairs missing from the room. The room also had a hole in the wall as well as stains on the carpet. The amount of damage was estimated at $16,000.

Zimmerman charged more than $400 to the room to purchase alcohol but allegedly did not pay the tab before his departure. The hotel attempted to reach out to Zimmerman and his team multiple times but did not hear back.

TMZ was first to report.

Us has reached out to Zimmerman’s spokesperson for comment.

Zimmerman announced last month that he had to cancel two concerts — including the Albuquerque show — due to illness.

“Y’all know there’s nothing I love more than getting out on the road and playing these shows for you, so it’s so hard for me to have to say this, but I have to reschedule tonight’s (5/27) and Saturday’s (5/30) shows,” Zimmerman wrote via an Instagram statement. “I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I’m not able to give you the show you deserve.”
