Jumpin’ jumpin’! Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, took a daring leap from a three-story yacht in Monaco, which she documented via Instagram on Sunday, July 31. The 62-year-old daredevil shared the exhilarating experience with her 678,000 followers in a series of video clips.
“My leap of faith is that the world in 2017 is gonna be a better, safer place,” the mother of Queen Bey and Solange tells the camera before taking the plunge. “So that is my leap of faith.”
In a second post, Knowles anxiously stands on the roof of the luxury boat as she prepares to get wet. A voice — which sounds a lot like her eldest daughter’s husband, Jay Z — is heard in the background saying, “You need a count. Don’t jump without a count!”
After a brief count point, the House of Deréon designer jumps off the yacht to land in the deep blue ocean.
In a subsequent post, Knowles is seen jumping off of the sea vessel’s second story as a warm-up exercise.
A small child — presumably Knowles’ granddaughter Blue Ivy — is heard asking, “Do you really know how to swim?” The fearless grandma gives a slight giggle before hurdling over the side of the boat.
“This is my first jump from the second story,” she wrote alongside the video. “Which gave me the courage to go up higher.”
