They’ve got his back. Today show cohosts Billy Bush and Tamron Hall voiced their support for Corey Feldman on Monday, September 19, after the ’80s movie icon was heavily criticized by viewers for his viral performance on the NBC morning show a few days earlier.
As Us Weekly previously reported, Feldman, 45, performed his new song “Go 4 It” on the Today show Friday, September 16. Critics immediately questioned the star’s appearance and the peculiar performance itself, which ultimately led to Feldman crying over the bullying he endured in a since-deleted Facebook Live video.
“Well I love ya @Corey_Feldman and I know how much it takes to get up there and do your thing. Keep your head up and know that you’re loved,” Pink, 37, tweeted Sunday, September 18.
“I’d like to echo that,” Bush, 44, said Monday morning. “You don’t have to pile on somebody.”
Hall, 46, added, “You don’t have to be so nasty. You can say, ‘What was that?’ or ‘That’s not my cup of tea.’ But to bully him? He’s out there performing. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it, but the level of aggression … is insane.”
The Today cohosts then extended an offer to Feldman to return for a second performance. “Come back, Corey. Give us an encore!” Bush said to the Lost Boys star.
