Hands all in for Bwen! Blake Shelton shared the cutest comments on Wednesday, Dec. 9, about his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, who will be leaving The Voice next season to focus on her career. The country crooner and his fellow Voice coaches, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Stefani, sat down with Extra to discuss their final four contestants and dynamics of the reality TV series.
“I think Gwen has been a standout moment,” Levine cracked. “Look at her!”
While the No Doubt songstress’ relationship with Shelton has just started — Us Weekly broke the news that they were dating last month — Stefani will be taking a hiatus from the hit NBC competition after Season 9 ends. In her place, Christina Aguilera will be returning to the coaches’ panel.
“I don’t want Gwen to not be on the show,” Shelton, 39, complained. “Why can’t we have a fifth coach?”
In the interim, the “Used to Love You” singer, 46, will be focusing on her music career. “What am I gonna do? I’m gonna put out my record and do some shows,” Stefani said, hinting at a possible tour.
When she was asked who she will miss most from The Voice, Gwen coyly responded: “I wonder . . . “
“It’s the combination, it’s the chemistry,” she elaborated. “I’m already so devastated that I already have three more outfits . . . And that I’m not gonna be around these guys. It’s hurting me.”
Indeed, she posted a photo to Twitter of herself goofing off with her fellow coaches during the broadcast on Monday night. An onlooker added to Us Weekly that Stefani and Shelton spent quality time together during commercial breaks.
