Keeping things friendly. Britney Spears and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, reunited at their sons’ football game in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 14, and the former couple looked happy and at ease as they joked around on the sidelines.
Spears, 34, wore black jeans, thigh-high boots and a dark blue poncho with a spider web emblazoned on it, over a red tank top.
Federline, 38, similarly kept things casual in a black sweatshirt, gray cargo shorts and a baseball cap.
The duo, who were together between 2004 and 2007, share two sons together, Preston, 10, and Jayden, 9.
At one point during the afternoon, the “Piece of Me” singer even leaned over to whisper in Federline’s ear.
The pair have had a rocky relationship since their divorce, but have both since spoken out about moving on from that chapter of their lives.
“That time of my life, it was great,” Federline exclusively told Us Weekly last June. “It was fun, it was crazy, it was chaos.… The limelight, the entertainment business, the lifestyle — period. When you’re 25 years old, how do you handle that? Nobody can prepare you.”
For this past Mother’s Day, Spears penned a touching note to her sons, calling them her “masterpieces.”
“From the day I saw the most precious eyes, I believed in miracles to the core,” she wrote. “Such a gift God has given me, exploring in your beautiful worlds every day. I pray as a mother I teach you strength and passion to carry through the struggles in the world. Most battles will always be won on your knees. I pray you find your dreams.”
After their divorce, Spears was engaged to Jason Trawick (splitting in January 2013), and dated David Lucado and, most recently, Charlie Ebersol.
Federline is married to Victoria Prince, with whom he shares kids Jordan, 4, and Peyton, 2.
