Getting right down to the point. Bruce Jenner's interview with Diane Sawyer kicked off on Friday, April 24, with the former Olympian telling the ABC News journalist that he is, in fact, a woman.
"I would say I've always been confused with my gender identity since I've been this big," Jenner told Sawyer immediately, holding his hand up a few feet from the floor. "Let's give him the soul of a female, and see how he deals with that… I hate that term: 'Girl stuck in a guy's body.'"
Often teary throughout the interview, Jenner, 65, slowly unraveled his ponytail as Sawyer asked him: "Are you a woman?"

"Yeah, why not, huh. We're talking about all this stuff. Let's take the damn ponytail out."
"Yes," replied Jenner. "For all intents and purposes, I am a woman. People look at me differently. They see me as this 'macho male.'"
He elaborated: "That female side of me is part of me. That's who I am. I was not genetically born that way. Umm, as of now I have all the male parts and all that kind of stuff. In a lot of ways, we're different, but we still identify as female."
Sawyer explained that this is the final interview Jenner will ever conduct as a male. Watch the emotional moment above.
