Bruce Jenner walked away seemingly unharmed from a fatal car crash on Saturday, Feb. 7, but he could still be in serious trouble. TMZ reports that police are in the process of getting search warrants for both the reality star’s phone and phone records to see if Jenner, 65, was texting at the time of the crash.
As previously reported, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was involved in a four-vehicle collision slightly east of Corral Canyon that took the life of one person.
Police released a statement on Saturday saying, “Bruce Jenner was involved. We don’t know yet in what way he was involved, if he was a passenger or driver.”
The social media-obsessed Kardashian-Jenner family has remained tight-lipped on the topic.
If evidence of texting or other distractions is found, Jenner could be charged with vehicular manslaughter. The former Olympian passed a sobriety test taken at the scene of the accident, and law enforcement sources tell TMZ they are confident Jenner tried to avoid the collision.
