Bruce Jenner's kids are in his corner. The former Olympian has received an overwhelming support from his 10 children and stepchildren amidst his transition from male to female, sources reveal exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
A source tells Us that some of Jenner's offspring were a bit "embarrassed" of his new feminine look at first, but have now rallied behind him 100 percent — especially after InTouch published a distasteful cover story of him on Jan. 26.
"All the attention has made them stand by Bruce," a friend of the motivational speaker tells Us. "He has been carrying this with him for so long that everyone is relieved he is starting to come out with it."
Jenner is stepdad to Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian, and shares daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner with ex-wife Kris Jenner. (The couple amicably split in October 2013 after 22 years of marriage.) He's also dad to son Burt and daughter Casey from his first marriage to Chrystie Crownover and shares sons Brody and Brandon Jenner with second ex-wife Linda Thompson.
The pal adds of the sons: "They all have become protective of him and just want him to live the way he wants."
Jenner has noticeably changed his appearance this past year, at times being photographed with longer locks, red painted nails, diamond earrings, and, more recently, sporting fuller-looking lips. (He also had surgery to shave his Adam's apple in January 2014.) He's kept mum about his new look for months, but has finally decided to go public.
As previously reported, Jenner will address his transformation during the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. He will also discuss the change in his very own unscripted E! series, which he's currently filming.
