Family first. Caitlyn Jenner is being “a good mom” to Kim Kardashian following the Selfish author’s harrowing Paris robbery experience, Jenner’s good pal Candis Cayne told Us Weekly on Saturday, October 23.
“She, of course, is just being a good mom, and just making sure that [Kardashian]’s OK,” Cayne, 45, told Us at the TransNation Festival Queen USA 2016 Pageant. “A lot of people just think that the Kardashian family are like these people that are just in make-believe land, but if you imagined yourself in that situation, sitting in a room, and having that happen to you, it’s terrifying. I asked Cait how she was doing. She said she’s doing OK, and, you know, she’s getting through it. It’s horrifying.”
Jenner, 66, shared a pic of herself with a makeup-free Kardashian for Kim’s 36th birthday on Friday, October 21.
Since Kardashian’s headline-making October 3 robbery, the mom of two has been silent on social media, even opting for a “low-key” birthday celebration in place of the typically lavish fetes that she and her family are known for.
“There will most likely be some sort of small celebration at a family member’s house tonight,” an insider told Us of the birthday gal’s gathering. As previously reported, Kardashian was shaken but “physically unharmed” after she was robbed at gunpoint at her apartment in Paris.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also canceled an appearance at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub originally set for Friday, October 28. “Given recent circumstances, Kim Kardashian will be unable to make her previously scheduled appearance,” a representative for the club told Us.
“Happy birthday babe,” he tweeted on Friday along with the heartwarming clip.
