She may be an Oscar winner, engaged to Brad Pitt, and the mother of six adorable children, but Angelina Jolie wasn’t able to snag a slice of pizza at the 86th Annual Academy Awards.
The Maleficent star, 38, was spotted desperately holding up her empty plastic plate in the hopes of securing a slice as Pitt and host Ellen DeGeneres breezed by her, doling out the goods to other A-Listers.
It started about halfway through DeGeneres’ hosting gig, when she brought out a pizza delivery man, offering up slices to the packed audience, who likely hadn’t eaten for hours following their red carpet appearances and the lengthy ceremony.
Hollywood’s elite ate up the bit (quite literally), with stars like Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and director Martin Scorsese noshing on the pieces.
Though Jolie was bypassed on the pizza train, her main squeeze had no problem chowing down on a slice of cheese as she looked on enviously. Other stars took to social media to document their impromptu dinners.
“Yes! @TheEllenShow There IS gluten-free pizza!!!! #OSCARS #greenroom,” a pregnant Kerry Washington Instagrammed along with a snap of her taking a bite.
“Thanks @TheEllenShow haha we were actually starving!!! #pizza,” Jamie Foxx‘s daughter Corinne Foxx tweeted a long with a photo of Foxx, Channing Tatum, and Jenna Dewan Tatum.
