Daaad! Chris Martin’s 11-year-old daughter, Apple, gave him the cutest pep talk ahead of Coldplay’s big Super Bowl 50 halftime performance this Sunday. During the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Press Conference in San Francisco on Thursday, February 4, Martin revealed that his little girl with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow warned him about the Internet.
“My daughter said the sweetest thing yesterday,” the 38-year-old rocker recalled. “She said, ‘How are you feeling about the Super Bowl?’ I said, ‘Of course we’re a little bit nervous.’ [And] she said, ’Dad, the worst that could happen is that you’ll get turned into a meme.’”
Martin’s band, Coldplay, is set to perform during the Broncos versus Panthers championship game. Beyonce is also scheduled for the halftime show. She recently collaborated on Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend.”
Martin and Paltrow, who consciously uncoupled in March 2014, are also parents to Moses, 9.
The game airs on CBS at 6:30 p.m. EST.
