Noooooo! SkyMall has filed for bankruptcy — and Chrissy Teigen is mourning the demise of the legendary in-flight catalog.
After chief executive Scott Wiley explained in court filings that due to “the increased use of electronic devices on planes, fewer people browsed the SkyMall in-flight catalog,” the Wall Street Journal reports the catalog’s parent company Xhibit Corp. is set to sell off the company’s assets at auction.
“ME WHEN I FOUND OUT SKYMALL FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY,” Teigen tweeted on Friday, Jan. 23, along with a snap of a zombie statue creeping out from the ground available for purchase for $89 in the catalog. “THERE IS NO SKYMALL MAGAZINE ON MY FLIGHT THIS IS ALL HAPPENING SO FAST,” she continued. Teigen added that she requested the pilot fly at half-mast and that she’ll never forget the catalog’s “entire page dedicated to items solely made for people named Bob.”
