She’s pee-ved. Christie Brinkley’s 4th of July celebrations were interrupted when a trespasser reportedly urinated in the yard of her Sag Harbor, New York, home while she was watching fireworks on Saturday, July 2.
The supermodel, 62, took to Facebook to defend herself after reports surfaced that she sprayed a garden hose at the woman. “I know it’s Independence Day but that does not mean ‘free to pee’ in front of my guests and me at my fireworks gathering,” she wrote on Monday, July 4.
“Maybe the trespasser should celebrate ‘Depends Day’ as she apparently thinks she lives in ‘The Land of the Pee,’” she continued. “And I was forced to hose down her mess after she urinated in my yard all the while throwing things at me.”
According to the New York Post, Sag Harbor resident Erica Remkus admitted that she relieved herself on the beach near Brinkley’s home and that the model hosed her down. Remkus said, however, that she was on public property. The New York Post reports that Brinkley called the police, and authorities interviewed Remkus, 36, but did not cite her since they typically don’t press charges unless they witness the urination.
In the Facebook post, Brinkley slams Remkus, saying that she has a “weak bladder” and “foul mouth,” and wishes that she can celebrate the holiday without any further incidents. She concluded with a toast to her new line of prosecco. “I’ll raise my glass of Bellissima Prosecco to that … Cheers Happy 4th to everyone!” she wrote.
