David Cassidy has seen better days. The Partridge Family star filed for bankruptcy protection on Wednesday, Feb. 11, Us Weekly can confirm.
In documents obtained by Us, the 64-year-old former child star owes hundreds of thousands to creditors, with debts to companies such as Wells Fargo ($292,598), American Express ($21,952), and Citi ($17,150).
Cassidy has had a rough couple of years. The '70s and '80s heartthrob was arrested for drunk driving for the third time in January 2014. At the time, he made an illegal right turn after exiting the 405 freeway in L.A. He was pulled over and blew a .19 during a sobriety test.
The actor, dad to Arrow actress Katie Cassidy, was previously arrested for drunk driving in August 2013 and November 2010.
Cassidy faced even more personal challenges following his third arrest. In February 2014, his wife Sue filed for divorce after 23 years of marriage. "This has been looming for some time," Sue told TMZ of the breakup. "I am truly heartbroken that our marriage is ending."
