On fire! Demi Lovato dropped her new "Cool for the Summer" music video on Thursday, July 23, and it is all kinds of steamy.
The "Heart Attack" singer, 22, looks amazing in the clip, showing off her toned figure in barely there getups. She opens the video sitting in the passenger seat of a convertible, rolling around town with a gaggle of girlfriends.
With her cropped brunette locks slicked and piecey, Lovato breaks out sexy dance moves and hits the club with her friends. Strutting in neon lights, the star croons, "Got my mind on your body / And your body on my mind / Got a taste for the cherry / I just need to take a bite / Don't tell your mother / Kiss one another / Die for each other / We're cool for the summer."
Lovato, who has been open about her struggle with an eating disorder in the past, looks strong and gorgeous in the visuals. Sources tell Us Weekly that she's been focusing on her exercise, going to SoulCycle and using a personal trainer, while maintaing a healthy, high-protein diet.
"She is like a whole new person now," an insider adds. "She's really happy and confident."
It's an exciting time in Lovato's life. She's preparing for her upcoming fifth studio album with "Cool for the Summer" as the lead single, and is as happy as ever with her longtime love, Wilmer Valderrama.
"I am very, very in love with him," she told New Zealand's ZM radio. "I think we'll probably wait a little bit longer [to get married], but if he asked tomorrow, I'd say yes."
