At the 2011 American Music Awards, Gomez showed some skin in a Giorgio Armani gown that featured a plunging neckline, a low-cut back and a thigh-high slit.
The Twitter love fest began when Grande, 22, shared her excitement over Lovato’s new album, Confident, which was released on Friday, Oct. 16.

“It always means a lot coming from you girly @ArianaGrande,” the former Disney Channel star tweeted. “Love you tons and I can’t wait for #FOCUS!!” she continued, referring to Grande’s upcoming single.
