Donald Trump reportedly fired Khloé Kardashian from the eighth season of The Apprentice because of her looks and weight. According to multiple Apprentice staffers, the embattled Republican presidential nominee called Kardashian a “fat piglet.” The Strong Looks Better Naked author appeared on the celebrity installment of the former hit NBC show in 2009 and was eliminated during the sixth episode.
“He basically wanted to just get rid of her,” an editor on the show told The Huffington Post in a report published on Friday, October 14. “He called her a ‘piglet.’”
According to the editor, Trump also said, “What is this? We can’t even get the hot one?” while referring to Kardashian’s older, most famous sister, Kim.
A second source who also worked on the eighth season of the show confirmed the comments and added that Trump said things like: “Why don’t we fire Khloé? She is a fat piglet. Why did we get the ugly Kardashian?”
A third Apprentice source also told The Huffington Post that Trump personally saw to it that the E! star was eliminated from the competition.
“When they fired [her], it wasn’t on merit,” the third editor said. “It was on him not liking her.”
While firing her in the boardroom, Trump brought up Khloé’s March 2007 DUI. “I hate people that drive under the influence. … When you told me that I actually lost a little respect for you. … If I had known that you were missing time from the task because of a DUI, you would have never been on the show,” Trump told Khloé in the boardroom before firing her. “I can’t sit here and do nothing. … What you did goes beyond this task. … Khloé, you’re fired.” (Watch the video of the moment above.)
Us Weekly reached out to both Khloe and Trump’s reps. Both declined to comment.
This isn’t the first time that Trump has made headlines for criticizing women for their looks and weight. Included in the long list of names that Trump has personally attacked is also Khloé’s sister Kim. The businessman mocked the Selfish author for gaining weight while pregnant with daughter North West.
“She’s gotten a little bit large,” Trump said during a 2013 interview with HLN’s Showbiz Tonight. “I would say this, I don’t think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds.”
