Alohomora! Tom Felton, the actor who memorably played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film franchise, offered his expertise on Thursday, Jan. 22, to sort celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West into their respective Hogwarts houses.
The Against the Sun actor, 27, who was deemed a Gryffindor this past week by J.K. Rowling‘s Pottermore website (although his character was a notorious Slytherin), told HuffPost that there were a handful of celebs who exhibited the cunning and resourceful traits of Draco Malfoy’s former house. According to Felton, the list includes Kardashian (“for sure”), Miley Cyrus (“absolutely”) Pitbull (“he’s got to be”), and Justin Bieber.
“He’s gonna have to join me in Slytherin as well,” Felton said of the platinum-blonde pop sensation. “He’s a bit of a bad boy.”
There was one star who actually wanted to be a Slytherin, and was miscategorized by Felton: “Bang Bang” songstress Grande. “I got asked by Huffington Post what house you’d be in. I went with Gryffindor,” Felton tweeted at Grande on Friday, Jan. 23. “Hoping that suits.”
The “Problem” singer, however, was sorted otherwise by the Pottermore website.
pottermore said slytherin but i’ll take it?? “@tomfelton: @arianagrande I got asked by huff post what house youd be in. I went w Gryffindor”

She also tweeted earlier: “I love a slytherin,” after Felton had shared a photo of himself at Platform 9 3/4 in London on Friday. “Just…… destroying my heart,” Grande wrote.
Other celebrities Felton believed belong in Gryffindor (the home of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley), were, oddly enough, ex-couple Taylor Swift and Harry Styles. “Taylor Swift is far too good,” the actor noted. “We’ll say Gryffindor.” Of Styles, he added: “He seems like a cool guy. I’ve met him a few times. He’s very sweet. Let’s stick him in Gryffindor, I think.”
Felton also gave a nod to the House of Ravenclaw (which is for the intelligent and witty), as well as the House of Hufflepuff (known for hard work, dedication, and oftentimes fair play). The star said Gwyneth Paltrow belonged in Ravenclaw. “Very loyal,” he noted. “Let’s go with that.”
While Kardashian was categorized as a Slytherin, her husband Kanye was proclaimed as a Hufflepuff by the Draco Malfoy actor. “Definitely,” he said of the Yeezus rapper. “He confuses me a bit, but that’s the house I’d go with.”
