He might have looked horrified in the seconds that followed Madonna's open-mouthed makeout session with him on the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival stage on Sunday, April 12 — but Drake is making it clear he was TOTALLY into the moment!

The Queen of Pop, 56, caused gasps from the crowd when she lunged at the 28-year-old rapper during her unexpected appearance at the Indio, Calif. festival.

Fulfilling her ambitions to kiss the hunky rapper, Madonna launched into the smooch which left little to the imagination. But it was Drake's hilarious reaction when the Material Girl finally pulled away that made headlines.

Grabbing his mouth, the rapper seemed to wipe his face in disgust, before covering his eyes and saying, "Oh s–t…What the f–k just happened?"

But while fans fervently discussed the kiss (and his reaction) online, Drake took to Instagram late on Monday, April 13 to make sure his shock reaction and mouth-wiping wasn't taken the wrong way.

"Don't misinterpret my shock!!" he captioned a picture of the intimate encounter which he shared via Instagram. "I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 100 about that forever. Thank you @madonna."

For her part, Madonna was characteristically unrepentant about her actions, despite facing widespread criticism on social media for her forthright sexual advance.

"If you don't like me and still watch everything I do… Bitch, you're a fan,” the mother of four shared via Instagram earlier in the day.

Later in the evening, she continued to stand by her actions. The singer shared two photographs — the first, an old (and at the time, controversial) snap of herself surrounded by semi-naked men wearing suspender belts. "I'm not your bitch…,,,,,… Don't hang your sh-t on me," she captioned the picture (the words are lyrics from her song "Human Nature" which she performed at Coachella). "Not then.., #unapolgeticbitch…" she wrote, before sharing another picture of her on the Coachella stage. "And not now……….. Not ever! #unapolgeticbitch."
