Former Dancing With the Stars pros Artem Chigvintsev, Peta Murgatroyd and Sharna Burgess revealed what cringey comments past partners told them during the competition.

“I remember one person, they were like, ‘I want you to look at me like you want to f*** me.’ … To me in one of the dances,” Chigvintsev, 43, said during the Monday, April 13, episode of Murgatroyd’s “The Penthouse With Peta” podcast. “First of all, what do you say in return?”

Murgatroyd, 39, joked, “You say, yeah baby, I’m going to give it to you.”

“Absolutely not. I’m just not the type of person,” Chigvintsev shared. “If I would say that I would mean that … I can’t do that s***. It doesn’t work for me.”

Murgatroyd added that she had a similar experience where one of her former partners made a sexual remark during a rehearsal.

“We were starting, I think our foxtrot, and he was behind me and I’m like, ‘Bring up your arms, and you’re going to go with me,’” and he goes, ‘Oh, so it’s kind of like I’m f***ing you from behind,’” she recalled.

While laughing about it now, Murgatroyd explained she tried to brush it off with some jokey banter.

“No, don’t be silly. Let’s [lift] our arms,” she recalled saying. “I’m good with brushing s*** off and then I go out and have a good laugh in the toilet by myself and come back in.”

Burgess, 40, added that she’s also had a former partner make a similar joke.

“I had one text me from the bathroom telling me that he was horny and he needed help with it during rehearsals,” Burgess said.

Murgatroyd also shared that she had another partner who got a little too flirty with her.

“I had one guy say, ‘I just want to lick it … I don’t want to f*** you I just want to lick it,’” she recalled.

Chigvintsev explained that during the competition, a lot of partners grow emotionally connected to their pros.

“I think what is really confusing for celebrity partners, when they enter the show it becomes their life,” he said. “It’s almost like a bubble where they escape from what their regular day-to-day life is. It’s kind of an exciting thing … but for us it’s a job.”

Chigvintsev shared that learning ballroom dance can “intimate experience” which can lead to confusing feelings.

“You can feel the crush and you can feel they’re into it. It’s more about how it’s affecting their life,” he reflected. “I think [that] happened quite frequently in my personal experience, where they start having problems with their husbands or partners. And they’re like, ‘I think I’m going to leave this person.’”

Chigvintsev claimed that one partner told him following their elimination that they were thinking about leaving their romantic partner after the show.

“I remember having the conversation, I’m not going to name names and I was like, ‘Do you understand that this experience ends here?’ … It doesn’t go past this point,” he said. “And also I don’t really understand why you want to change your life. Has it opened your eyes on your relationship with another person?”

Murgatroyd, who is married to former pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, shared that her husband also had past partners who joked about marrying him after the show.

“Maks has had a couple [partners] that were literally like, ‘We’re doing this after the show,’ type of thing,” she said.
