DWTS Switch Up Pairings Announced, Joey Fatone and Jessie J to Guest Star: Details

It’s time for a switcheroo! Dancing With the Stars gave America the vote — and the votes are in! On Monday, Oct. 13, our DWTS favorites will swap pro partners for one week, and one week only — and not only are they dancing with different partners they’re also going to be tackling whole new dance genres!

In what’s sure to be a must-see moment, Bethany Mota will pair up with Mark Ballas to shake some Hip-Hop moves, Alfonso Ribeiro will partner Cheryl Burke to tackle a Flamenco dance, while Janel Parrish will team up with Artem Chigvintsev to dance Burlesque!

Other new pairings are Jonathan Bennett and Peta Murgatroyd, who will dance the Jitterbug, Tommy Chong and Emma Slater who get the Mambo and Sadie Robertson and Derek Hough who go back to the ’20s for the Charleston. Antonio Sabato Jr. and Allison Holker will dance Bollywood, Lea Thompson and Val Chmerkovskiy will dance Broadway and Michael Waltrip and Witney Carson will be doing Disco.

But it’s not just the unexpected pairings that will make next week’s episode a series highlight — there will also be two special guest stars!

Pop singer Jessie J is set to guest judge alongside regulars Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli. in addition to judging, the Brit singer will set the show off with a “Bang Bang,” performing a medley of her hits as the pros hit the dance floor.

Even more unexpected is a second guest appearance, from DWTS alum and former ‘N Sync member Joey Fatone!

“He’ll be singing in the DWTS house band, the Ray Chew band,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “He will also be featured as the lead singer in Jonathan & Peta’s Jitterbug to ‘Rock This Town’ by The Stray Cats.”

A bit random? According to the source, he just can’t get enough of the show! “He’s been hanging out backstage constantly all season and still just loves the show,” the source said. “Also, he was a groomsman in Alfonso Ribeiro’s wedding so they’re really good friends and he’s cheering him on.”
