There’s a new girl in town! Erika Jayne, a singer from Atlanta, Ga., will be joining the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 6, sources close to the cast confirm to Us Weekly.
Jayne is best known for her dance and club tracks, eight of which have hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Club/Dance chart. Her first, 2007’s “Rollercoaster,” hit No. 1, and she followed with two more singles, “Stars” and “Give You Everything.”
Jayne and her husband, L.A.-based lawyer Thomas V. Girardi, are friends with current Real Housewives stars Yolanda and David Foster.
According to sources, Jayne has already begun shooting for the upcoming season. Bravo has no comment about the casting news.
Earlier this year, news broke separately that two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members wouldn’t be returning in the fall — Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards.
Glanville tweeted about the rumors in June, telling fans, “I woke up with a sore throat and a HUGE decision to make today!” She and Bravo later confirmed her departure.
Richards, who appeared on the hit Bravo show for nearly five years, checked into rehab in June, and sources told Us that her struggles with sobriety put her stint on the show in jeopardy. The troubled reality star was admitted to a hospital by concerned family members following her Aug. 2 arrest for allegedly shoplifting from Target.
“The RHOBH producers really have no interest in bringing her back to the show,” an insider told Us in June. “Kim needs to get help and it needs to happen outside of the show.”
