Lance Bass Talks Going Green With Fiance: He’s “Right There With Me”

Lance Bass

Lance Bass is ready to say "Bye Bye Bye" to global warming — and hello to married life!

The TV Personality and former boy bander, 35, recently spoke with Us Weekly for an extended interview to talk about going green and his support of the Environmental Media Association, a non-profit dedicated to utilizing the influence of celebrities and the media to promote sustainable lifestyles.

"It's sad to see how greed and money can really overpower such simple things like helping our planet last a lot longer for future generations," Bass told Us. "I remember as a kid — I would leave the faucet on every time I brushed my teeth, it was just what I did. And it was a habit that I had to break…little fixes like that in your life make a big difference."

Luckily, Bass has a fiance that not only supports his views, but carries them out as well. Michael Turchin, 25, is also a strong advocate for the environment. "What I love about him is he has the same amount of empathy that I do with animals," Bass gushed. "It’s nice to have a partner that is right there with you, learning with you and helping out, lending a helping hand."

The singer is just one of the many celebrities who have taken to twitter to support Toyota and the Environmental Media Association teaming up to offer an opportunity to win a zero-emission hydrogen car. Bass will appear at the organization's Environmental Media Association Awards at Warner Bros. studio on Oct. 18 alongside stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron.
