Match madness! Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao finally fought it out in the boxing ring at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden on Saturday, May 2. But even with Jimmy Kimmel in his entourage (yes, seriously!) Pacquiao was unable to take home a win.
Mayweather dominated and came out on top in each round. He was greeted by several boos as he entered the room, but left smiling with a score of 118-110, 116-112, 116-112.
“Manny Pacquiao is still a champion,” Mayweather said after the bloody fight. “He still has a lot left. I was the better man tonight — more calculated fighter, took my time, had patience.”
He added: “I know the judges weren’t going by the crowd screaming. The judges were going by shots landed.”
Pacquiao, however, didn’t think it was a fair game. “I thought I won the fight,” he said. “He didn’t do nothing.”
Many celebrities either attended the big event or watched at home with their families. Some fans included Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Kourtney Kardashian, Gabrielle Union, Ryan Phillippe, Ben Affleck, Jake Gyllenhaal, Claire Danes, Joshua Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Sofia Vergara, and Joe Manganiello.
Hot couples Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman, and Beyonce and Jay Z traveled to Las Vegas for date night. 50 Cent was right along with them to cheer for his friend Mayweather.

“You feel the energy around it and it’s not just that people want the best man to win, they want the guy that wins all the time to lose,” he told Us Weekly on Friday. “He’s good. When he’s getting ready to go, he’s like, ‘No matter what I say, it’s going to be wrong. So I just gotta do what I do.’ They want to see him not win the fight.”
