Does Forbes know something Twi-hards don't?
After Kristen Stewart was caught cheating on her boyfriend of three years, Robert Pattinson, with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders on July 17, many fans have speculated whether or not the beloved Twilight costars and real-life couple will stay together.
About two weeks after Us Weekly released the shocking photos of Stewart's makeout session with Sanders, 41, Forbes released their annual World's Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples list last week and excluded Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, from the list.
"Stewart and Pattinson were, in fact, left off of the list because they are broken up," Forbes confirmed to The Huffington Post on Friday. In 2011, the Twilight twosome ranked fifth with a combined annual earnings of $40 million. Stewart topped Forbes' 2012 list of Highest-Paid Actresses after earning $34.5 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z took first place in this year's Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples list with an annual income of $78 million. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her football star husband Tom Brady came in second with $72 million a year, and David and Victoria Beckham earned third place with a total of $54 million.
But fans are holding out hope that Stewart and Pattinson can reconcile. The On the Road actress issued a public apology on July 25 addressed to Pattinson, but sources told Us that "Rob doesn't know if he should forgive her. He doesn't know what to do."
However, a mutual friend of the couple told Us that Stewart is "dying to save the relationship. It's the only thing she cares about."
Perhaps fans will find out Monday night if Pattinson has accepted her apology? The Cosmopolis actor will be making his first public appearance since the scandal on Jon Stewart's The Daily Show on Comedy Central at 11 p.m. EST.
