Former Dancing With the Stars contestant and motivational speaker Noah Galloway is about to be a grandfather at age 44.
“There are moments as a parent where you look at your kids and wonder how time moved so fast,” Galloway, 44, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, September 5. “I’m so proud of Colston and Ariel and so excited for this next chapter of their lives. Watching my son become a husband was something special. Now I get to watch him become a dad, and I already know these two are going to be incredible parents.”
He continued, “And somehow, I’m about to be a grandfather. Which brings us to the important part… what the heck am I supposed to be called? Granddad? Grandpa? Pawpaw? P-Paw? Pappy? Grandpappy? I feel like this decision could age me 15 years instantly.”
Alongside the announcement, Noah shared a photo of son Colston Galloway sitting behind wife Ariel Galloway as she held up a slew of ultrasound images while spending time on the beach. In the comments section, Noah received sweet messages from fans and loved ones — including his former DWTS partner.

Noah, who lost two limbs in 2005 after surviving a bomb blast in Iraq, competed on season 20 of DWTS and placed third. While appearing on the show, Noah popped the question to then-girlfriend Jamie Boyd. The pair announced their split months after the engagement. Noah has since tied the knot with wife Amanda Galloway in 2021.
In August, Noah shared that he had returned to dancing after a hiatus.
“I really thought my days of dancing were behind me after Dancing With the Stars. But apparently not because I’m dancing again. For years, anytime somebody asked me to dance again, my answer was pretty simple: no,” he said. “But recently I got the chance to tour First Light in Birmingham, Alabama, and see what they are doing for women and children experiencing homelessness, and I walked out of there knowing if they ever asked anything of me, I was going to say yes. Well then they told me about their Dancing With the Stars of the Magic City fundraiser and asked me to do it.”
He continued, “Apparently I should have been a little more specific about what I was willing to do. So here we are. I’m partnered with Bailey Shirley from Calera Dance Academy. And somehow Bailey now has the responsibility of teaching me how to dance again. So good luck to her.”
Noah noted that the “timing is kind of funny” because Sharna is also heading back to the ballroom this year. (Sharna is paired with Bachelor Nation’s Tyler Cameron on DWTS season 35.)
“So I guess we are both coming out of retirement,” he said. “But this time, I’m dancing right here in Birmingham, Alabama, and we are doing it to raise money for First Light.”
In the comments section, Sharna supported her former partner and wrote, “NOAHHHHHHH!! Omg I love this so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
