Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, secretly married her longtime boyfriend, Isaiah Silva, in June 2014, but the bride’s mom, Courtney Love, was noticeably missing in action.
As first reported by the Mirror UK, the couple tied the knot in a small ceremony attended only by a “close circle of friends.” Frances, 23, reportedly opted to tell her famous mom about the surprise nuptials after the fact.
A photo later emerged on Tumblr of the newlyweds cuddling together in a black and white snap. In the pic, Silva — the frontman of The Eeries who eerily resembles the late Nirvana rocker — bares a gold band on his left ring finger.
Love, 51, meanwhile, alluded to the wedding in a cryptic Instagram update on Saturday, Sept. 26.
“If you think I’m sorry for being a no-show at any important events this week, think again,” Love captioned the pic. “I was with @jamesnorley #candyface #worthflakingonanythingfor #heaven #worthit #slay #bae #cancelallmyappointments #donthate #stud #jealousmuch ?… Bwahaa xc.”
While the mom and daughter duo have shared their fair share of dramatic ups and downs Love and Frances recently reconciled and have lovingly posted about each other via social media.
To mark Frances’ 23rd birthday last month, Love posted a heartbreaking throwback snap of herself with the late Cobain and their then-baby daughter. “Our baby is all grown up now,” the Hole rocker captioned the pic. “Jesus, Kurt, look at her face, what on earth were you thinking…!?!? God I miss you, we all miss you. #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim.”
Cobain, who was Love’s second husband, committed suicide at the age of 27 when Frances Bean was just 2 years old.
