But where was the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? The cast of the upcoming all-female Ghostbusters reboot mingled at Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary afterparty on Sunday, Feb. 15 — trading in their beige jumpsuits and backpacks for black dresses and heels.
Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and current SNL cast members Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon were evidently having a ball at the star-studded bash at New York's Plaza Hotel. (Director Paul Feig was also there!)
"Ok I'm exhausted but this week was epic!#winning," Jones captioned a Twitter pic of the foursome.
After much speculation, the Hollywood Reporter confirmed last month that the four actresses had signed on for Feig's new film. At the time, however, McCarthy's rep told Us Weekly she was still in negotiations.
The reboot is expected to start filming this summer in NYC. In addition, an insider tells Us that Ghostbusters alum Bill Murray has been approached to make a cameo.
