Cue the sad Coldplay songs! Six months before pulling the plug on her marriage to Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted kissing a former flame on Sept. 13. In a resurfaced photo, the Oscar winner is seen giving ex-boyfriend Donovan Leitch a smooch during an L.A. Dodgers game in broad daylight.
Leaning in, a makeup-free Paltrow, 41, gave Leitch, 47, what appears to be a friendly kiss on the lips. Dressed down in a white top, she kept her blonde locks back in a messy bun as the British actor wrapped his arm around her neck. Paltrow and Martin’s daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 7, also sat next to them in the front row.
The GOOP blogger and Leitch dated in the early ’90s, prior to her high-profile romance with Brad Pitt. (The Girls Club actor and his estranged wife, Scottish model Kirsty Hume, share daughter Violet, 10.) After splitting from fiance Pitt, Paltrow dated Ben Affleck on-and-off until their split in 2000. Paltrow then met Martin at a Coldplay concert in 2002, and they tied the knot the following year.
Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman, 37, announced their separation after more than 10 years of marriage via her GOOP website March 25. “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the pair wrote in a joint statement. “We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
“We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been,” it continued. “We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
