Back on his feet! Hayes Grier recently gave an update on his health and showed photos of injuries that he suffered from his recent dirt bike accident.
“hey guys, we’re good,” the Vine star, 16, captioned an Instagram photo on Sunday, July 29. In the pic, he rested in his hospital bed covered in blankets, hooked up to machines and with a wet towel on his forehead.
In a second pic on Sunday, he appeared to be in his home bathroom. He went shirtless, revealing a bandage wrapped around his waist.
“Ready to feel better,” he tweeted on Monday. “I’m over [being] bored.”
As previously reported, Grier was hospitalized following the accident on Thursday. His brother Nash Grier revealed via Twitter that the Dancing With the Stars alum could move and talk and had no internal bleeding. However, he suffered a concussion and was coughing up blood.
Hayes’ rep gave more details about the accident to Us Weekly that same day. “Hayes suffered a concussion, broken rib, bruised lung and multiple skin lacerations,” the statement read. “Thankfully, he is OK and currently resting and recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family, where he will remain for the next few days. We can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of prayers and support for Hayes!”
Hayes is best known for making viral videos on Vine and YouTube. He currently has 4.4 million Vine followers and more than 850,000 YouTube subscribers. Last year, he snagged 8th place with pro partner Emma Slater on season 21 of DWTS.
