Ann Wilson’s husband, Dean Stuart Wetter, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting two relatives, The Seattle Times reports.
Wetter, 65, reportedly assaulted the two young males during the Heart singer’s concert at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington, on Friday, August 26. According to US News, the boys are reportedly the 16-year-old twin sons of Wilson’s sister Nancy.
"Since this is a family matter, it is asked that you respect their privacy," Wilson's rep tell Us Weekly in a statement about the matter.
According to court documents, the boys left mid-show to walk around and spotted Wetter standing outside Wilson’s tour bus. Wetter allowed them to go in but warned them about the dogs inside. He later became angry when the boys didn’t close the door when they exited the vehicle. Wetter allegedly punched one of the boys in the back of the head with a closed fist and grabbed the other boy’s throat.
One of the boys “later complained of a sore, raspy throat, fear of dying and pain in his throat area,” the documents state.
Authorities arrested Wetter at the scene around 2:26 a.m. He was booked at King County jail and is scheduled to appear in court for the second time on Wednesday. Bail was set at $10,000.
Wilson, 66, and Wetter briefly dated in the 1980s before reuniting and marrying last year. Wilson opened up about their marriage during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in June.
"I think I felt really beautiful the day I got married. I was blooming that day. I feel extremely beautiful around him, my husband," she said at the time. "I think that’s when I feel the most beautiful because in our relationship we both really prize naturalness and I never feel that I have to measure up around him or put on makeup or do hair, anything like that. I feel that he loves me just exactly the way I am, no makeup, in my pajamas or something."
