Busy schedules and long distance won’t stop Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton’s relationship from going the extra mile.
“Kim and Lewis are still very serious and committed to their relationship. It is the real deal for Kim and something she hasn’t experienced in a long time,” a source exclusively shares with Us. “They had a whirlwind summer together, and both are extremely busy with work right now.”
The pair were able to spend time together in Idaho during the Fourth of July holiday. Most recently, Hamilton, 41, shared a peek into how he was enjoying his Formula 1 World Championship summer break with Kardashian, 45.
“Resting, restoring, recharging 🔋🔋🔋,” he wrote via Instagram on August 7 as Kardashian posed for a selfie with her man.
The Idaho trip “was a really special week” for Kardashian and Hamilton, the source shares, because it gave the British racing driver the chance to spend more time with his girlfriend’s family. (Kardashian shares children North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, with ex-husband Kanye West.)
“He bonded with her kids, and it was really nice for everyone to be together,” the insider reveals. “Kim loved how great he is around her kids. They played games and spent time on the lake doing wholesome family activities. It was cute.”
Not everything has been documented on social media for the world to see.
The couple also briefly traveled around Europe together and spent time in the U.K. in between their busy work commitments.
“They’re making the relationship work even when they have to be long-distance. Whenever Lewis has downtime, he’ll stay with Kim in Los Angeles,” the source reveals. “When they’re together, they love keeping things low-key and spending time at home.”
Us confirmed earlier this year that Hamilton and Kardashian had turned their friendship into something more. The news came after the pair had been spotted on multiple outings together, including Super Bowl LX.
Since then, Hamilton has won over the hearts of several family members, including sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.
“Everyone in Kim’s family loves Lewis and thinks he’s great for her,” a source shares. “Kim is extremely happy and giddy around him. She’s like a little kid when they’re together, and her sisters think it’s so cute.”
Hamilton is expected to represent Scuderia Ferrari when racing picks up on August 21 at the Dutch Grand Prix. He will remain busy with the Italian Grand Prix, Spanish Grand Prix and Azerbaijan Grand Prix in September.
