Lewis Hamilton is soaking up every minute of his mandatory Formula 1 World Championship summer break with girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
“Resting, restoring, recharging 🔋🔋🔋,” Hamilton, 41, wrote via Instagram on Friday, August 7, giving fans a glimpse at his life off the track.
In addition to sharing pictures with his friends as well as an adorable cat and golden retriever puppy, Hamilton posted several snaps with Kardashian, 45, whom he’s been dating since January.
Kardashian and Hamilton enjoyed what appeared to be a neighborhood walk in Calabasas, California, in one picture.
In a separate image, the Kardashians star stared down a dog inside someone’s home, looking both chic and casual in her attire.
In a third photo, Kardashian blew a kiss at the camera and threw up a peace sign as Hamilton smiled in the background with a woman who appeared to be Kardashian’s All’s Fair costar Glenn Close.
The F1 racer, who has already competed in 14 rounds of races this season, is currently ranked second in the World Championship standings as he heads into the back half of the season.
Hamilton will continue to represent Scuderia Ferrari when the series picks up on August 21 at the Dutch Grand Prix. He will remain busy with the Italian Grand Prix, Spanish Grand Prix and Azerbaijan Grand Prix all in September.
The professional athlete won’t be back in America for competition until October 23 to begin the United States Grand Prix. Hamilton’s season ends in early December with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
While it is unknown which of his upcoming races Kardashian will attend, the reality star supported Hamilton earlier this summer at the Monaco Grand Prix in France in June.
“It’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support,” Hamilton told reporters on June 7. “But, you know, with my friends, incredible turnout, just overall, the people. It’s amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day.”
Later that month, a source exclusively told Us that Hamilton also has the seal of approval from Kardashian’s four children, whom he’d “spent time” with amid their relationship. (Kardashian shares North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, with ex-husband Kanye West.)
“Lewis loves kids so it’s been fun for him,” the insider said. “The kids think Lewis is really cool, especially Chicago and Saint, who are completely fascinated by the fact that he drives race cars for a living.”
The following month, Hamilton and Kardashian vacationed together with her kids at the lake.
“Summers at the lake with my favorite people ✨🦋,” the Skims founder captioned a series of Instagram photos from the getaway.
Hamilton, for his part, attributed his “happier” demeanor to Kardashian being in his life.
“You’ve been a happier man recently, why’s that? Could that be a girlfriend?” one fan asked Hamilton during a July 2 press conference in support of the British Grand Prix via the Daily Mail.
After detailing his recent racing highs and lows, Hamilton confirmed that his girlfriend has been the source of his joy as of late. “Of course it’s Kim,” he said with a smile.
