A romantic getaway for two! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie celebrated their second wedding anniversary last week with a low-key date night, Us Weekly can exclusively reveal.

The couple, who married after nine years together in a surprise, top-secret ceremony on August 23, 2014, at their French estate, headed to the famous Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles for some alone time.

“It was just the two of them. They had dinner and spent the night, and that was it,” a source told Us of the pair’s short but sweet stay at the five-star resort. “They left the next day.”

The insider explained that from time to time, Pitt, 52, and Jolie, 41, will book a hotel getaway for the night. “They want to keep the love alive,” the source said.

It’s likely difficult for the couple to find time for date night between their various film projects and raising six children. Pitt and Jolie are parents of Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

The Big Short actor previously gushed to The Telegraph last year about fatherhood. “I never knew how much I could love something until I looked in the faces of my children,” he said. “[There’s] a lot of love, a lot of fighting, a lot of refereeing, a lot of teeth-brushing and spilling.”

The kids even played an important role in the couple’s 2014 nuptials. During their ultra-private wedding ceremony, Jolie wore a dress with the children’s drawings on it. Maddox and Pax walked the By the Sea actress down the aisle, while Zahara and Vivienne threw petals gathered from the garden, a spokesperson told Us at the time. Shiloh and Knox were the ring bearers.

“It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt and Jolie told Hello! magazine at the time. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
