While Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson grew close during their time with former boyfriend and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, their relationship fractured — and it’s been broken ever since.
Madison, Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt starred on hit reality TV series The Girls Next Door, which focused on their lives as they lived in the infamous Playboy mansion while all dating Hefner at the same time.. The show was a massive hit and aired for six seasons, from 2005 to 2009. The reality series’ success also led to Madison and Wilkinson getting their own spinoff shows, Holly’s World and Kendra, respectively.
Madison and Wilkinson appeared to be friends on the shows. However, since the shows’ cancellations, both women have previously spoken out about their strained relationship. During a May 2026 appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, Madison revealed that she and Wilkinson “haven’t spoken” since 2012.

Holly Madison Claims That ‘Girls Next Door’ Tried to Pit Her Against Kendra Wilkinson
Madison alleged that edits made on the former reality series made it seem like “people were jealous of other people or being mean to other people.”
“It would be like Kendra’s late and then cut to me making a look that I wasn’t really making in the moment,” she said. “And that was rough.”
Holly Madison Claims a Producer Played a Role in Kendra Wilkinson Feud
Madison shared that a producer from Girls Next Door also worked on her and Wilkinson’s shows. While both women filmed, Madison claimed that the producer tried to pit the two women against each other when it came to their respective careers.
“The same guy who did Girls Next Door was also producing my spinoff and Kendra’s spinoff. And just as the years went on, he was getting really crazy with us as far as trying to get us to do these certain things and motivate us by making us jealous of each other,” she alleged in May 2026.
Madison claimed that the producer would allegedly try to get a reaction out of her when telling her about some of Wilkinson’s achievements. She also alleged that the producer did the same thing with Wilkinson over Madison’s success and encouraged them to film together.
“I’d come over and Kendra would be weird and I’d be like ‘What’s going on?’” she recalled. “It was just all this kind of stuff.”

Madison claimed that she and Wilkinson got into a disagreement over articles related to their friendship.
“Kendra was really wrapped up in the tabloid cycle,” she alleged. “So if she needed a feud to be mentioned that week, she would say she was never friends with me and I called her out on that over text “
Madison acknowledged she would have understood if there was a misleading headline. The final nail in the coffin, though, came when Wilkinson allegedly reposted the article — and Madison confronted her about it.
“So I reached out to her and go, ‘Oh hey, what’s this about?’ She goes, ‘Oh don’t worry girl, that’s nothing. I go, ‘It’s not nothing, like I think you’re being really f***ing fake right now,’” Madison claimed. “And then she freaked out and we never spoke again.”

Madison confessed that she hadn’t thought about clearing the air with Wilkinson “until recently.”
“I don’t know if she would reach out because she really seems to be happy not having anything to do with anything from the past,” she said. “I think that’s great. But I would not continue to hold a grudge at this point.”
