Irina Shayk Wasn't Crying at Wimbledon, She Had Hay Fever

False alarm! Irina Shayk, who many believed was crying due to a fight with boyfriend Bradley Cooper at the 2016 Wimbledon men’s final in London on Sunday, July 10, was reportedly teary-eyed due to a bad case of hay fever.

While the American Sniper actor’s side-eye at the sporting event made it seem like he was ticked off at his model girlfriend, a source tells the site that he was actually making the face at retired tennis star Stefan Edberg, who was sitting right next to Shayk. Edberg is not seen in the now-viral video where it looks like the Hollywood couple are fighting.

Later on in the match, Cooper and Shayk looked happier as they flashed big smiles during Andy Murray’s face-off with Milos Raonic.

As previously reported, cameras panned to Wimbledon’s star-studded crowd, which, in addition to Shayk and Cooper, included Prince William, Duchess Kate Middleton, Benedict Cumberbatch and outgoing British Prime Minister David Cameron.

However, Shayk stole the show when a camera fixated on the Russian-born beauty wiping away tears as her Oscar-nominated beau whispered in her ear. Cooper awkwardly stared at his ladylove, who appeared to be making a concerted effort not to look back at him. At one point, he cracked a slight grin and gave a small shrug. Naturally, their seemingly frosty interaction caused a social media firestorm.

“I think Bradley Cooper is in a fight,” one user wrote. Another added, “Bradley Cooper done f–ked up.”

“Hold up. I know that reaction,” a fan tweeted. “She’s crying cause he said ‘after this lets stop for pizza on the way home’ #tearsofjoy #BradleyCooper.”

Shayk, who began dating Cooper in April 2015, met his mother, Gloria, in September of that year. This past March, the pair made their red carpet debut during Paris Fashion Week, where they flaunted their romance by wrapping their arms around each other and sneaking a few smooches inside a L’Oréal party.
