Jamie Foxx Mocks Steve Harvey at Golden Globes 2016, Announces Wrong Name for Best Score

Straight outta — say what? Jamie Foxx mocked Steve Harvey’s Miss Universe flub at the 2016 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 10, jokingly revealing the wrong winner for Best Original Score for a Motion Picture.

The Sleepless Night actor, 48, took to the stage with Lily James to announce the winner for the category, but surprised the audience by picking a film title out of left field.

“And the winner is … Straight Outta Compton,” he said as he opened the envelope, before owning up to his faux pas (Straight Outta Compton was not a nominated film.) “I’m sorry folks, I made a mistake. It’s right here on the card. I take full responsibility. It was right here on the card. I apologize to everyone in Compton. I apologize to Ice Cube.”

James, 26, then took over the mic to announce the real winner in the category: Ennio Morricone, for The Hateful Eight.

Last month, Harvey took heat for announcing the wrong winner of the 2015 Miss Universe competition — Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, over the actual victor, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.

A few weeks after his epic flub, the talk show host addressed his very public blunder in his first Steve Harvey Morning Show segment of the New Year.

“Immediately after it happened, they asked the pageant people to come to the press conference,” Harvey recalled. “I wasn’t scheduled to be at a press conference, so I went to the press conference and made all the apologies there … Here’s the situation: Now, when the mistake was made, when I said the wrong woman’s name, I can only give information I had. No one knows, and that information is not in the teleprompter because you’ve got two women standing there. I read what was on the teleprompter, then I read what was on the card.”
