Like mother, like daughter!

Jamie Lee Curtis, who stars in Fox's new horror comedy Scream Queens, shared a photo on Tuesday, Sept. 15, that paid tribute to the original scream queen — her mom, Janet Leigh.

The Instagram pic shows Curtis, 56, screaming in the shower, holding a pic of her late mom doing the same thing in her iconic 1960 film Psycho.

Curtis (who has a scream queen legacy of her own, thanks to her role as Laurie Strode in the original Halloween movie and several sequels) explained that the photo was dreamed up for the new drama produced by American Horror Story and Glee creator Ryan Murphy.

"Just recreated, with help from the amazing crew, a shot by shot of my mother's famous shower scene from Hitchcock's PSYCHO for @screamqueensfox," she wrote. "Ryan Murphy and co. wrote it into a special episode and it felt right! Honoring the Royal legend that is/was/will always be, Janet Leigh. Thought all fans of the genre would love it! #honorthymother."

Leigh, who died in 2004, is a muse to her daughter as she films the new series, which also stars Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, and Ariana Grande. Last week, she posted an Insta that showed her wearing a T-shirt imprinted with her mom's Psycho scream.

"Heading to work on @screamqueensfox and honoring the royal legend that is my mother every step, punch, parry, cut, drip and slice I can. Things are heating up around here. The flies are dropping," she wrote. "Be afraid, be VERY afraid."

Scream Queens premieres Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
