Jennifer Aniston was surrounded by exes during Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards in Culver City, Calif., on Saturday, June 8 — but she only bumped into one. The Christian Dior-clad star of We’re the Millers attended the event to present her close pal Jimmy Kimmel with the Funniest M.F. award. When she walked backstage, she crossed paths with former fling Bradley Cooper.
Though a source once told Us Weekly that Aniston felt “screwed over” when Cooper chose Renee Zellweger over her in the summer of 2009, the former loves looked genuinely happy to see each other during the star-studded awards show. Aniston, 44, greeted the Silver Linings Playbook actor, 38, with a big hug, and the two took several pictures together.
Aniston’s fiance Justin Theroux was M.I.A. that evening. Cooper, meanwhile, spent the night packing on the PDA with his latest love, actress Suki Waterhouse.
“They literally did not let go of each other’s hands the entire time,” a source says of Cooper and Waterhouse, who began dating in February. “They were super affectionate and didn’t try to hide it whatsoever.”
Aniston had another ex in the house that night: Vince Vaughn, whom she dated from 2005 to 2006 following her divorce from Brad Pitt; The Internship actor was being given the Guycon award. Aniston and Vaughn didn’t have a run-in, however, as security “ushered Jennifer out the exit door” shortly after her chat with Cooper.
In mid-April, Aniston avoided another awkward reunion with a famous ex when John Mayer was seated near hear table at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower. According to an onlooker, the Friends alum was dining with Theroux, Chelsea Handler, Drew Barrymore and Andre Balazs when the “Gravity” rocker arrived at the hotspot. Mayer, 35, kept a low profile and did not interact with his on-and-off love from 2008 to 2009.
