Their love is limitless! Actress Jennifer Carpenter and rocker Seth Avett quietly tied the knot over Memorial Day weekend, their reps exclusively confirm in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
The North Carolina ceremony was "small and private," says a source close to the parents of 1-year-old son Isaac. "They're incredibly happy to be married."
The Limitless star, 36, and the Avett Brothers frontman, 35, first met at a concert in 2009 and shared a long friendship before things turned romantic. (Carpenter was previously married to her former Dexter costar Michael C. Hall from 2008 to 2011, and Avett was married to Susan Avett from 2008 to 2013.)
In June 2013, after Avett split from his wife, Us exclusively confirmed that the actress and musician had started dating. The couple announced their engagement — and that they were expecting their first child together — in February last year.
"They have a similar sense of humor," adds a pal. "They're a good match."
The insider also notes that Carpenter "loves music and has always been a big supporter of the band."
While they kept the wedding under wraps, Avett hinted at the happy occasion onstage. At a June 3 concert in Baltimore, an onlooker said "Seth flashed his ring to the crowd!"
Recent photos on the Avett Brothers Instagram page also show the musician wearing a wedding band.
