They had Us at hello! Jon Cryer is just as fascinated by Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis' romance as the rest of the world. Speaking about his former Two and a Half Men costar with Us Weekly at the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 20, the actor compared Kutcher and Kunis to one of the great rom-com couples of the modern era: Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger in Jerry Maguire.
"They really complete each other. It's the old Jerry Maguire thing," Cryer, 50, told Us of the spouses and former That '70s Show castmates, alluding to one of the most famous lines from Cameron Crowe's 1996 dramedy.
(In the film, Cruise, 53, famously wins back Zellweger, 46, with a romantic speech that ends with the words "You complete me.")
"It's a total cliche, but in their case it just happens to be true," Cryer continued of Kutcher, 37, and Kunis, 32. "She really grounds him. He's always got something cooking, but he loves coming back to her, coming home to her."
These days, there's even more to come home to. The Jobs star and the Black Swan actress, who exchanged vows in a wedding over the Fourth of July (and were legally married well before then), welcomed daughter Wyatt last year — and Kutcher couldn't be happier.
"As far as I can tell, he spends most of his time thinking about it," Cryer told Us of how the actor has adapted to fatherhood. "He's clearly made for it."
