The world knows Jon Hamm’s got a big ham. And in a candid new interview with GQ Australia, the Mad Men actor, who won the magazine’s award for International Man of the Decade, talked fame, success … and the internet’s obsession with his penis.

It all started with a 2012 image of Hamm, now 45, going commando while out with his then-girlfriend of 10 years, Jennifer Westfeldt. The Emmy winner's apparent bulge made headlines, and a Tumblr fan account called "Jon Hamm's Wang" was even created.

“It was a topic of fascination for other people, certainly not me,” the St. Louis native told the Aussie magazine. “By the way, as rumors go, not the worst.”

Hamm’s sense of humor surrounding his body parts has certainly come a long way. At the time of the now famous picture, Hamm did not find it funny. In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, the actor sounded off. “They’re called ‘privates’ for a reason,” the Absolutely Fabulous star said. “I’m wearing pants, for f–k's sake. Lay off.” The same month, The Daily News reported his lack of underwear was causing problems on the set of his hit AMC show. A source told the outlet, “Jon’s impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear.”

A year later in 2014, the Keeping Up With The Joneses actor revealed to Men’s Fitness that he was shocked people were still talking about his penis. “Would you want people walking up to you and pointing at your dick?” Hamm asked. “The fact that I’m painted as this exhibitionist is a little annoying.”

While time hasn’t changed interest in Hamm’s genitals, it seems safe to say it has changed his mind.
