Order in the courtroom, madness in the bedroom. Judge Judy and her husband dished some secrets about their (ahem, amazing!) sex life during a red carpet interview in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, April 14.
The interview started off innocently enough, with the Emmy-winning TV judge, 72, talking about her long and illustrious career. "I have different [awards] in different places," the family court expert (Judy Sheindlin) said to the Daily Mail. "The only place I don't have any awards out in the open is in the bedroom. Other than that they are all over. I don't know! I sort of feel that is one place where I feel nobody should be getting awards."
Her husband Jerry Sheindlin, who accompanied his wife to the annual Women of the 21st Century Awards luncheon, later chimed in with a rather cheeky remark.
"No awards?" he said separately from his wife. "She just gave me an award last night. I just don't understand this. I'm going to have to talk to her about that."
When Jerry was asked to clarify, he responded: "It's a huge insight. I have this statue that proves it!"
The sometimes-acerbic TV judge and her husband have been married since 1977. Although they divorced in 1990, ultimately, the two couldn't stay away from each other and remarried in 1991.
Outside of the bedroom, the courtroom personality extended her contract with CBS last month through 2020. "I’m thrilled to be working with my CBS family for five more years, and very excited about this new adventure in production," said Judge Judy, who is also the executive producer of a series called Hot Bench. According to CBS, her show is the highest-rated syndicated program on television.
