Still standing! Justin Bieber stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, March 18, and touched on his talked-about Comedy Central roast this past weekend.

"What a birthday present, right?" joked Bieber, who celebrated his 21st birthday on March 1. The roast involved the young pop star getting brutally teased by a bevy of comedians, including Kevin Hart, Will Ferrell, and Hannibal Buress, among others.

"You said something really, really sweet at the end," host Ellen DeGeneres noted. "Kevin Hart said you should have a minute to talk… do you remember what you said? I read what you said and it was really sweet."

Amongst jokes about his music, fans, and dramatic love life, Bieber took a moment to apologize for his infamous antics.

"I was just talking about it being a new chapter for me and basically saying that I'm sorry for the stuff that I’ve done," the "Baby" singer explained. "It's not like… I’m not searching for people's approval, but I want people to know that that’s not me and I was doing stuff that wasn't me. A lot of times we pretend so that we can fit in and we end up looking like the douchebag and that was kind of me."

Bieber went on to attribute his wild behavior to his early rise to fame, telling DeGeneres that he wasn't prepared for the spotlight as a young teenager.

"I really just didn't… I didn't know how to handle it," the star spilled. "It went to my head and I had to let people pull me down for me to see the truth and to see how much of a jerk I was being. And now I just want people to know that this is me, I'm just a genuine person who has fun. I just wasn't trying to be a jerk."

When he wasn't discussing the roast and his attempts at turning over a new leaf, Bieber had a little fun with none other than Madonna. He joined the Queen of Pop for a game of Never Have I Ever, revealing his past in the scandalous round.

While Bieber admitted that he's forgotten the name of a partner while fooling around, he claimed he has never been kicked out of a bar because he "just turned 21." Unfortunately for the Biebs, his teenage antics made headlines, and he was famously booted from a nightclub in Chicago in 2013.
