Justin Theroux Calls Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Divorce ‘Terrible News’

He can relate. Justin Theroux, current husband of Brad Pitt’s first spurned wife, Jennifer Aniston, called the fellow actor’s recent split from Angelina Jolie “terrible news” in a new interview.

Chatting with Business Insider on Monday, September 26, to promote his latest film, Girl on the Train, Theroux, 45, candidly spoke about the shocking demise of Brangelina.

"As a child of divorce, all I can say is that's terrible news for those children, and that's all you can really say," he told the outlet. "It's boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time. That's horrible."

"There's an endless appetite for trash, apparently — though everyone would say that they don't have that appetite," he explained. "But I think a lot of people do because people buy it.”

The Leftovers star — who married Aniston, 47, in 2015 10 years after she called it quits with Pitt — added: "But there are bigger things to bitch about. It's shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world."

Aniston fled to NYC September 22 to meet up with her hubby because she was “being hounded” in L.A., a source told Us Weekly last week

When news of Jolie, 41, and Pitt’s divorce broke on September 21, an insider tells Us that the Friends alum responded by saying, “Yeah, that’s karma for you!”

As fans are well aware, Pitt, 52, and the Maleficent actress met on the 2004 set of their film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, when the World War Z hunk was still married to Aniston.

After she found out that her then-husband was having an affair with his sexy costar, Aniston pulled the plug on their five-year marriage. Months later, Pitt and Jolie went public with their controversial romance.

As previously reported, Jolie — who married Pitt in 2014 after 12 years together — filed for divorce on Monday, September 19, citing irreconcilable differences. The UN special envoy is requesting sole physical custody of their kids. The divorce filings indicate that she requested the Fight Club actor receive joint legal custody. She is not asking for spousal support.
