Kaia Gerber addressed the onslaught of negative reactions to her past public romances.
“There are so few things you get to protect as a famous person, and being defined by who you date when you’re 18 is something I find challenging,” Gerber, 24, told Vogue in a Tuesday, August 11, profile. “I think I’ve been labeled in ways that are quite misogynistic: serial dater, slut, greedy.”
Kaia, the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, has previously been romantically linked to the likes of Austin Butler, Jacob Elordi and Pete Davidson. The Shards actress is currently in a relationship with Lewis Pullman.
“My mom is always like, ‘Just don’t make the same mistake twice.’ And I’m pretty good at not,” Kaia told Vogue, when asked about her romance with Pullman, 33. “I think the ultimate goal is that your relationship doesn’t change you, that you’re not code-switching between relationship, friendship [and] professional life.”
She continued, “I would love to always feel like me, and in this relationship I’m having the pleasure of doing that.”
Kaia and Lewis, the son of famed actor Bill Pullman, have been together since 2024 and often keep their romance under wraps.
“Kaia and Lewis have actually been together for a while now,” a source exclusively told Us in January 2025. “They started dating in early December [2024]. … They run in the same circle and have similar friend groups, and that’s how they were introduced.”
According to the insider, Kaia liked how her then-new romance felt “low-pressure.”
“[She likes that] Lewis is a very low-key guy,” the source added at the time. “They have a lot of chemistry and a very easygoing relationship. She’s really happy and feels like she can be herself.”
Throughout their private relationship, Kaia has found their dynamic especially healing from her past.
“A lot is being healed in this relationship. I really feel like if you have the opportunity to date a friend, do it, because it just is so much better,” Kaia said on the “Therapuss” podcast in October 2025. “I never wanna fight with my friends, I never wanna be mad at my friends [and] I respect my friends. It just is like a whole other thing, and I think sometimes you forget you like someone when you love them.”
She continued, “If you can date your friends, you should, or date someone that you would be friends with anyways. Don’t just date someone because you’re sexually attracted to them or in lust with them. You should sleep with those people, for sure, but you don’t need to make them your partners.”
