Karen Elson Granted Restraining Order Against Estranged Husband Jack White

After announcing their divorce in 2011, Karen Elson was granted a restraining order from estranged husband Jack White after alleging he has a "violent temper."

The divorce proceedings between Jack White and Karen Elson is getting ugly. On July 22, Elson, 34, was reportedly granted a restraining ordering against the musician, 38, amid allegations of harassment.

The restraining order affidavit, obtained by Nashville City Paper, stated, "Wife fears for her and the children's safety as a result of this harassment" after he allegedly contacted her "in an inappropriate and aggressive manner."

The order claimed White has a "violent temper and a tendency of sending harassing emails and text messages." It also claimed that The White Stripes musician made derogatory statements about Elson to their business manager. "This was done to harass and embarrass wife," the order read. "This pattern of husband's bullying wife into submission was a contributing factor in the demise of their marriage."

White is now barred from having "any contact with wife whatsoever except as it relates to parenting time with the parties' minor children."

He and the British model and singer have two children together, daughter Scarlett, 7, and son Henry, almost 6. The couple, who married in June 2005, announced their divorce in 2011, which has yet to be finalized.

After announcing their split, White and Elson threw a "divorce party" to "honor" their six-year marriage. In the invite to their family and friends, they wrote, "We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow."
