Pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton strummed away on the ukelele while visiting Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School on Feb. 10

Kate Middleton hit the right note in more ways than one when she visited a children's hospital in Beckenham, Kent, on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Fresh from her recent holiday in Mustique, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge took a private trip to Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School, where she bonded with kids and staff — and showed off a surprising musical talent.

The 33-year-old royal spent 90 minutes meeting with patients and employees at the hospital. At one point, she met with a young boy who taught her to play a few chords on the ukelele.

"She kept up with them," headteacher John Ivens said of the Duchess' strumming. "There's a career there."

Kensington Palace tells Us Weekly that the visit was arranged through Place2Be, a UK-based charity that focuses on mental health issues by providing emotional and therapeutic support in schools. Middleton has been a patron of the organization since 2013.

According to the Palace, Prince William's wife — who is due to give birth to their second child this spring — learned about Bethlem and Maudsley during the Place 2 Reflect conference in 2014. Ivens spoke at the conference last June.

Per the Bethlem and Maudsley website, the school provides guidance and education for patients at Bethlem Royal Hospital and Maudsley Hospital, both of which treat mental health issues.
